Frequently asked questions
Service guarantees that actually pay out — automatic, signed, traceable.
What is the Gera Action Warranty?↓
A limited service guarantee that ships automatically with eligible bookings on Gera products. If the service fails to meet a published standard, you can open a structured claim and receive the defined remedy.
Which products are covered?↓
GeraHome verified-provider bookings are covered first. Coverage expands to GeraClinic non-clinical follow-up, GeraEats deliveries, and others as standards are published. The full list lives at warranty.gera.services/browse.
How do I open a claim?↓
Go to your booking, click 'Open warranty claim', and describe what failed. Photos and chat history are attached automatically. Most claims receive a decision within 48 hours.
What remedies can I get?↓
Each service category publishes its remedy schedule — rework at no charge, partial refund, full refund, or credit. The remedy is defined in advance so there is no haggling.
Is the warranty insurance?↓
No — it is a contractual service guarantee from the provider, backed by Gera as the platform. We are not an insurance provider and do not require an insurance policy. We only carry the warranty itself.
Who pays the remedy?↓
The provider in the first instance, with Gera covering the gap if the provider fails to honour the warranty within the published timeline.
Are receipts cryptographically signed?↓
Yes. Every warranty receipt is signed by Gera and the provider. You can verify any receipt by URL — useful for insurers, auditors, or future warranty stacking.
Does the warranty work across countries?↓
Yes. Standards and remedies are localised per market (e.g. UK, Armenia, Kenya) so currency and consumer-rights regulation match the booking country.
Can a provider opt out of the warranty?↓
No. If a provider lists in a covered category they accept the published standard. Providers can publish their own additional guarantees on top.
How does this affect my consumer rights?↓
It supplements them — the warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights. You can pursue either route, or both.
Where can I see provider warranty performance?↓
Verified providers display their warranty record (claims rate, remedy speed) on their Gera Passport badge. Look for the badge before you book.
Is there a fee for the warranty?↓
No fee at the point of booking on covered services — the warranty is built into the price the provider charges. Gera Prime members get expanded coverage on more service categories.
