How to claim a service warranty

Every eligible booking on Gera marketplaces comes with a signed Action Warranty. If the job is not completed correctly — no-show, incomplete work, or quality below standard — you can claim a replacement provider or a full refund within our SLA. Here is exactly how the process works.

Step-by-step claim process

  1. Locate your warranty receipt: Open your booking confirmation email or your Gera account booking history. Find the warranty receipt attached to the relevant booking.
  2. Initiate a claim: Tap or click "Raise a claim" on the booking record. Describe the issue: incomplete work, poor quality, no-show, or safety concern.
  3. Provide evidence: Upload one or more photos or a short video showing the issue. GeraWitness may also have captured a completion event — the system checks automatically.
  4. Receive a resolution: Within the SLA (4 hours initial response), Gera's team contacts you with one of three outcomes: a replacement provider, a partial refund, or a full refund.

How long does a Gera Action Warranty claim take to resolve?

Initial response within 4 hours. Most claims resolve within 24 hours — either a replacement provider is dispatched or a refund is processed. Complex disputes involving property damage may take 3–5 business days.

What qualifies for a Gera Action Warranty claim?

Any booking made through a Gera marketplace (GeraHome, GeraRide, GeraEats) that includes an Action Warranty receipt. Eligible issues include: job not started, job incomplete, quality below the agreed standard, and provider no-show.

Can an AI agent claim a warranty on my behalf?

Yes, if you have authorised the agent with a scope that includes warranty management. The agent can detect a failed delivery verification via GeraWitness and automatically initiate a warranty claim — including evidence upload and refund request.

What is not covered by the Action Warranty?

Jobs booked outside the Gera platform, scope changes agreed verbally with the provider after booking, damage caused by pre-existing conditions not disclosed at booking, and jobs where the customer materially altered the scope after the provider arrived.
